Such a Shame 6:00am at the coffee shop
He's in, asking for the usual
She's servicing the tables.
He tries in vain to catch her eyes,
But it's no use; she's only looking
When he's going the other way
And looking at that other pretty face
Shut off, she has nothing to say.

She pushes him away, everyday
It's such a shame
She can't see him as they do
Because if she could, maybe then
She would love him too.

It's a rainy night in LA
He spots her as she passes by
She's on her way home from work.
He offers her an umbrella,
But it's no use; she's only looking
When he's going the other way.
In the distance, in the dark
Too late, she has nothing
Nothing I'd like to tell you about Nothing.
About no wars, no mass suicides, no school shootings, no horribly botched elections.
No trauma, no drama or suffering of any sort,
Except for perhaps from the reading of this piece of drabble.
It's in Nothing that we can truly believe;
In Nothing that we can't completely decieve.
And if we were to be handed Nothing, we'd probably
Be a lot better off than we are right now
For the simple fact that you can't get "something from nothing".
Something is the hungry child,
The traumatizing story that must not only be developed, but fed.
It often conceals itself in phrases of dread and suspense; "Oh no, h
Pressure Aphrodite in the dark
Standing outside my window;
And so's how it goes.
Next you know I'm gonna reach you deep inside
And try to teach you
But oh oh oh,
But oh oh oh.

But oh oh oh,
That's never how it flows
It's never gonna show
How much I wanna let you go

I wanna let you know
I think it's all a show
But you're never gonna know

Feel your skin against my face

And so's how it goes.

Yeah. Mm, I killed it. It looks better off the scanner at least. Only partially finished, just wished to gather some input before i continued. Any ideas for colors in the remaining areas? Thx <3

NOTE: There have been a lot of inquiries recently from DA members to use this as a tattoo of their own, and though I'm flattered, I think my friend would honesly kill me if she ever found out I was lending her design out. So please know - I'd REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU DIDN'T USE THIS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Please, and thanks.

I've been looking for WEEKS for a phoenix tattoo and I stumbled across this. This is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. I read your note about how you're friend would kill you, I totally understand. I'd feel too guilty if I saved it without permission. So would it be ok? I'm willing to even show a picture if/when its done. If not, its really pretty. You're friend should be proud :)
